First let me tell you that I do like your story very much. It's really fun, funny, and consistent with how you portrayed your characters in the beginning. By that I mean that you didn't make your main characters just randomly decide: "Hey! I love him/her" all of a sudden, so woot! ...but I hate myself for reading it.
Well, I hate myself for not paying attention to the published and updated dates. Lol just my luck that the one time I neglect to check, it would be this! I really like it but since you haven't updated in so long I know there probably is no chance you'll start back up again... but anyway, enough of my ranting/complaining.
Your story is awesome. Thanks for writing it =)

Oo-er! That was interesting and different, and really got my attention. I can't wait to read more. Problem is, I know from a friend of mine (she was the one who recommended your stories to me), this story isn't quite complete yet. So I'm kinda dreading liking this cuz I'm sure to pine over it.
Oh, forget it. I'm still going to read this. See you in a future review.

Brilliant! That prologue just pulled me in and never let go. I would have reviewed the earlier chapters, but I had to keep reading! Such a great relationship between the two of them, and that beginning of awkwardness is really well portrayed. I love Tara, and I love Brandon. his protectiveness of her is incredible, and I loved the bit about her not locking the door. I also loved the way they became friends and...well i just basically adored the whole thing! I love your name, just btw.

"“Nah, I called you at 4:53 in the morning to annoy you a bit.” Tara felt her forehead wrinkle. “And before you ask, I’m up so early, or late rather, this fine morning because I’d just engaged in a bout of superbly satisfying sex. And yes, that sure is some awesome alliteration, is it not?”"
have i told u lately how much i adore jen?
and i loved all the tiny teasing details about their past. the preschool memories were pretty sweet and cute.
and 4th grade. persistent! tara is so goddarn cute. and the bow in the hair. and her looking in the mirror after he insulted her. made my stomach clench a bit :S
and omgosh the roommate! and the tension between brandon and tara afterwards. guh.
OK i just screamed. HOW CAN THERE NOT BE A NEXT CHAPTER?
please please please update soon. sorry i'm being so whiny, but i really really like this, and i'm just so disappointed it's not complete. and that it hasn't been updated for a year. oh man, i'm so down now.
but fine. i'll just tell you overall my thoughts, and hope that you would update soon.
i like all the characters introduced so far. brandon is so dreamy and his chemistry with tara is undeniable. but it makes me wonder: why now? why was everything (the tension, the attraction, etc) only coming to head now? what caused the slight rift between them? did brandon already realize that he loved her as more than a friends? because that might explain a couple of things..
one issue i have though, is how obvious everthing is. i mean how can tara be so oblivious about what's going on between them when she constantly has to battle with her mind to shut up about brandon's attractiveness and so on?
ok, so you know i'll be rereading this again and again for a long time, hoping that you would update.

"“Tara, it’s you!” the girl sitting on her left squealed. Tara gave her a faintly patronizing look. Is the girl drunk or something? The bottle is obviously still spinn– Oh. She faced her front and sure enough, the tip of the bottle pointed right at her."
case of pot and kettle? lol i love drunk! tara.
"By 10, at least ten other people had joined in their mixed game of Truth or Dare and Spin the Bottle. By then, she’d gotten kissed by two guys, kissed one girl, licked someone’s ear, blew a raspberry on someone’s stomach, and had taken a shot of syrup."
isnt it strange that the dare i actually cringed at was the one with the syrup? but you know, that IS foul.
"Helena asked, “How far have you gone with Brandon?”
Tara had blinked uncomprehendingly and said, “We’re just best friends.” A majority of the girls giggled wildly at that and some snorted disbelievingly. The reaction caused her to snap “What?” rather defensively."
a-ha. defensive! tara. and lol at the following truth questions. so much for "protectiveness" :P and i liked her answer about how they were just normal best friends who didn't kiss overly much, even on the cheeks or whatever. realistic!
"“Emergency? Wh-what emergency? Is it Mom?” She grabbed Brandon’s forearm urgently and looked into his brown eyes.
Brandon calmly unhooked her fingers from his arm one by one while answering, “The emergency was that of a drunken Tara.”
Her arm now by her side, she said, “I’m not drunk. Just a tad inebriated.”
“If you weren’t drunk, you would’ve realized that they mean the same thing.”"
tara's mom's ill? going somewhere with this? and i giggled at brandon's retorts here (both times).
"Brandon was obviously a sucker for her pretty face, because he’d relented (for the 12th time).
And for the 12th time, when Rose had let go of Jack’s hand in the cold ocean and said I won’t let go, Brandon had passed her the tissue box.
And for the 12th time, after the movie was over, she’d said in a wet, miserable and teary voice, “I’m never going to watch that again! Why’d you have to pick a movie that’d make me cry?”
And just as always, Brandon put up with her annoyingness and cleared away the used tissue paper strewn all over the floor, all while muttering “Why do I put up with you?” sotto voce."
love, love, loved this! brandon is like, so used to her routines, and so gentle and and and... askljfaiwefalwniajwfhoi. i don't even know the right word for this. cherishing? loving? guh.
and i, like tara, am a total sucker for titanic too. can't help sobbing buckets everytime i watch that damn movie.
and ahh, i'm loving their relationship. but seems that it's been tense lately?

i know right. my best friend has that very same ability. she carries the smallest bags around and still manages to actually fit stuff in it! i love that i can totally relate to this!
