The synaesthesia in the second line just blows you away. This is beautiful - tiny, raw, perfectly formed. The way you've set it out: two lines, then a fat stanza, then a final, poignant line is breathtakingly simple yet effective. My favourite line is 'scraping lazy circles of doubt across my back'; it's so poetic. Take care of yourself.

Wow, you know what's funny. I've read one great, WONDERFUL poem by you, and now I'm absolutely hooked. You are definitely on my favorite author's list now. I love the line "dust falls from my skin like summer rain". It's amazing the beautiful metaphors you have.
