Hmm this is painful to read: insure. Insure Annie? Insure? I don't think he's taking an insurance policy out on anybody. *Ensure* please and thank you.
I liked the overall story but the ending lacked particular direction as to "happy ever after" or "hated each other forever" I wasn't quite sure, but overall great story. There were just a few bits with the waterfall I didn't quite get. Did she get pulled into the waterfall after him or not?

Annie, these are all very lovely. The imagery that they display is simply impeccable. Lines like "until at last the faded wood passes from under your shadow and the door opens" summarize your superb ability to use words to form the complete image in the reader's mind. Well done!
