I think you can have it as either cub or pup.

A wolf or any dog-like animal is called a pup when young. A cat or any type of large feline is usually called a cub. There are exceptions, but that is the most general. A fox baby is a cub, oddly enough.

its called a wolf cub and only the alphas of the pack have them its a way to make sure the pack doesnt get over run by cubs that will eat all the food

I'm guessing that what happened between the two of them wasn't consensual on her part, so I think she was REALLY nice to him considering. I don't care what demon-y excuse he has, take responsibility for attacking a girl! Oh, and pup is a term for young canines (and baby hamsters) and cub is a term for a young carnivorous mammal. So they're interchangeable for your purposes, really.
