I see what she means about it being serious...It's hopeful too though, and reminded me a bit of something that would be found in Lord of the Rings. I think because of the setting and it's about going on a (life) journey, and that there's lessons hidden in there.

I liked the way that the hill was at the end and the beginning, and the husband and wife were looking back on it. Like looking back at a symbol of youth almost.

There were some strong images too - espeacially at the beginning. The tangled hair and the springtime bath stood out. I always get frustrated with songs on her though because I can never her the beat in my head.

That was a good piece of work here. I can imagine it as a folklore type of drinking song in a fantasy romance way. I can enivision it as a starter for fantasy romance adventure. :) Anyway, good piece of work here. Distracted by the current F1 race in my country though, so I just can't think up of anything more to say.

P.S: Again, hope to see your reviews for The Eternal Grail soon. :)

Add P.S: lol wtf? Timo Glock racing to top three spot in the F1 race atm? Damn that guy can really race given he's like nowhere to the top five just now. :S

"With age comes wisdom so they say,/A little gained with each new day." We have exactly a proverb like that in Taiwan! (not word to word, just with the same meaning.) Anyways, this poem was great!

Hm, yes, it's a bit too serious for a drinking song, yet definitely has connotations of one. It reminds me of one of those drinking songs the hobbits in the Lord of the Rings sing, it also has these hobbit connotations of tilled earth etc. - yet, there is a serious, if not sad undertone in the way the woman prostitutes herself in the first part. One wonders if she will indeed find a "steady man" with such a past. That depends on the time the song is set in, I guess. Come to think of it, this heroine might fit Rosie Cotton of LotR... *g*

Serious my @$$...well, maybe a little for a drinking song, but this is wonderful! You make writing lyrics/poems seem so dang easy; very impressed. Keep it up!
