This was a pretty good short! I liked the in depth detail of the scene; it gave me a good idea of the setting. This sort of leaves you with the feeling of 'happily ever after', but if you read over it again, you know the real deal. You could have elaborated a little on what had happened in the party, as long as it is still relevant.
