Yes! I know exactly what you are talking about! It's that feeling that responsibility and realistic view points take away. It's like the only way to steal those innocent, blissful feelings back is to be as foolish and uncaring as possible! I love your poem, because it reminds me of those moments and how I ache to let them control me.

I love the last line. Inescapably happy; that's how childhood *should* be. And regardless of what it's like, youth fades away so fast to make way for the troubles of adulthood. Your piece paints a vivid portrait of a nice childhood, and at the same time, the tone seems almost melancholy, because this time in life is gone forever.
