Fuck my life. I don't know why I read through these five chapters all over again, because now I'm miserable and depressed. I guess I was hoping that maybe I hadn't checked the box to get an alert and you had actually put out the next chapter. But, sadly, you never did get around to that update you promised. I have a 5 year old reply in my inbox saying that you had already written up three chapters and the ending for this story. For what it's worth, this had a lot of potential and I can see why I liked it so much before. Life gets in the way of things, I know, so the likelihood of this ever getting finished is exponentially low. Just know that I'd be interested in reading the rest.

Great characters! I love how there's nothing outlandishly dramatic: the plot is very...subtle, I guess is the word I'm looking for. Quiet, true-to-life. Matthew and Caleb are a terrific pair (even if they're not really a couple...yet?); I really enjoy reading the scenes they have together. I agree with a previous reviewer that seeing Matthew and Julie interact more would take the story to that next level. It's been a while, but please don't forget about this story: it's a goodie!
