Firstly, I found this through the forum "Not So Run of the Mill Science Fiction."
And you don't think yore GOOD? What is wrong with you? That is probaly better than most PUBLISHED fiction I have ever read.

Great concept for the story, telling the battle from the perspective of someone on Earth. A couple of spelling errors here and there, but other than that very well written. I liked the description of the orbital stations as "wheels of death".

I really like the concept of watching an orbital battle from the ground. The "Terran Federation" is a nice shout out to Starship Troopers, and the kid's apparent conditioning is nothing less than creepy. Very good read.

I liked it. Very vivid imagery. I presume Thompson's Youth is a reference to the Hitler Youth.

Damn! A nice chilling piece on war and brainwashing. Brainwashed child soldiers is definitely a nasty bit of real world history also still around in your dystopian future. The swapping back and forth of the battle and the boy on the ground was awesome.

I think it's pretty good. Good details. very poetic.

'Like fine jewels scattered by a careless princess' - perfectly worded.

In 'A seagull hooted sleepily in the distant', I think you meant 'distance'.

Anyhow, this was fascinating. You painted an entire world in such a short piece. I loved that last line.

Excellently written.
