Just In
for What If?

There would be no point to life or anything. It's hate and pain and agony and love that makes it all worth it. It's why I always hated the song "Imagine". "Nothing to kill or die for" is the exact opposite of my idea of paradise.

The world would be entirely balanced and completely identical.

What if I'm wrong?

If I die

If you die

Will what happens then change?

If hate leaves

And love leaves

Will money be the only measure of gain?

Will killing no longer cause pain?

If air falls

And water floats

Will there still be the rain?

Will the breeze still rush over the plains?

If you and I pushed

Would you fall into the arms of another?

If healers killed

And killers healed

Would brothers massacre brothers?

Would daughters massacre mothers?

If everything was different

Would anything really change?

I suppose poets would have new things to write about.

Sorry..not a quip at you, but just at poetry on this site in general. As for this piece, way to go on some good contrast and strength of voice throughout.
