This is a very interesting idea. I like the concept of the Favoured and its ability to control both the airship and the aging process.
There were some grammar issues and in some parts the word-order made the sentence a little confusing.
However, like I said, I like the concept. Very nice. I sorta wish that we had a better image of what Fick looked like. You mentioned hooves and bared teeth... but ehn... I'm a visual junky. *smiles*

First of all, I can't believe I'm the first person to review this! It's friggin' good people! Tell her so!
I love the dialect. I noticed that for people with English accents, you spelled favour with a u. Clever device. I like the character of O'Malley- Usually such a sweet character is of the male persuasion. It's good to se a change.
Just all around good.
