Another amazing chapter. I was chilled to the bone at that last part; I could almost feel Thanas's horror and shock of facing such a situation after the calm tedium of his and Lyanth's journey back.
In all of that, I love how you subtly continue to flesh out the culture of the people of the mountain, with, "The young and old of the village gathered around the bonfire on their knees, the closest thing to mourning," and "The people of the mountains did not joke, especially over such matters. "

Wow! That was intense at the end. I really want to know what is going on. I love how you explain how Lyanth views her home. That was great description and really showed how she viewed the world. Looking forward to the next update.

This is an amazing story! The plot, while remaining subtle, it gripping, and the world you're slowly painting for the reader is unique and vivid. Even better are the characters; I especially love the interaction between Elthan and Candon. I remain eagerly looking forward to the next chapter. Great work!

I really thought this chapter was well written. I absolutely loved the letter and the conversation at the beginning of the chapter. Especially the line talking about being dead in a glorious ditch. :D Great chapter looking forward to more!

At this point, I'm really hungry for a description of this country/these countries and how they work. Please? Are they all in the same land, or is Elthan about to invade the land of another character's?

Wow! The tapestry is a great illustration. Er, I'm sure there's a more specific literary term for what kind of tool you used there... but whatever it is, I like it a lot!
