I am so intrigued with the way you protray Arlan. It is a more mysterious and not as cliche way of showing he's a vampire. Most people go overboard with cliches but your writing adds that bit of mystery, i love the character development. I have been hoping to do the same with my own story. Thanks for the story, keep it going as long as you can!

Good chapter! One thing- in a criminal proceeding- it is not Layla versus Karl, it is the state versus Karl. Therefore Layla would not have an attorney; there would be a prosecutor representing the state.
