This is very sweet and tenderly written, and yet leaves me with this feeling of longing. Maybe I, too, am searching for home. The beginning actually was somewhat reminiscent of Joan of Arc. Beautifully done, however you meant it. There are so many possibilities for this. It was a delight to read. =)
