Oh, wow. Toward the end, I started getting goosebumps, and as I read each succinct, one word line, followed by your repeating stanza, it only made the feeling more intense. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it! And if it gives me goosebumps, you better believe I liked it!
I did, however, keep trying to read it as "Lay down my body at midnight", but that's just me. lol
