So since you didn't really get reviewed by everyone else and I felt guilty because I read your entire prequel yesterday and didn't review at all- heres one.
I really like the fact that you didn't keep Jess and Ty together through a big long perfect relationship. You had them grow and change and I like that it means her past didn't cause Ty to stay with her out of obligation. It's like real life. I also like the fact that (even if this is not where the story is heading) that so far her 'past' is just Ty and not some big foreboding disaster. You're letting the story reveal new relationships and changes without jumping into what some might expect.

I am really loving this new story so far. There's just one problem...it needs some Ty. I am craving some more Ty and Jess interaction or at least some of Ty's thoughts about Jess and his life now. Love it so far though!
