This was too short for me to really fall in love with it, but it was humorous and worked well. If you wanted, it could be a start of a light-hearted YA Romance/Humour general story. :)

I knew he was going to know German! That was hilarious, but I want to know what happens the next time on the train or whatever! Anyway, I guess that's the point. I get to figure out what happens next.
I liked that you took this take on the idea of overheard conversations, it was cute. Short and sweet and perfect!

This was so cute! Extremely funny, and I liked the nice twist at the end. So many people do that...my mom and I will be at the Indian Market and people will start speaking about other people around them, not realizing that we ALL understand the same language. But see, this was something good that came out if it. Very nice. :)

Okay, the outcome was going to pretty obvious straight from the start, but I love the choice of title. It's funny imaging Jen imaging the boy running into straight into a physical language barrier ... okay, getting incoherent here...
The way you've described the boy is positively kawaii, especially the part about his music. The ending, clichéd, but still elicits a laugh. I like how you still manage to inject WAFF into clichés.
[Mm, the language-insult thing does kind of suck. Ridiculously enough, I'm one of those people, and even though I speak VERY broken German, it was a shame my view of the Rhine *nearly* got spoilt by a bunch of Deutsche ponces.]

lol I've heard stories about the language insulting thing also...like, this one time, my cousin and her friend were walking in a mall and there was this black guy in front of them and they were talking in russian and made some comment about him...he turned around and said, in russian also, "Girls, it is not nice to do that." LOL i like the story, it's so sweet :)
