Can I tell you how amazing this is? You must already have known this! I seriously did not know what to expect when I clicked on it, I thought it was a supernatural story where there was literally a candy man. But I am so glad there wasn't. I definitely LOVE LOVE LOVE this story! At the beginning, I thought this story was all cute and fluffy. It wasn't. It was much deeper than that. Each character had their own share of pain, something real. Life had happened. I really enjoyed reading that because life isn't so fluffy. But I am glad that Dustin and Melissa found each other. Obviously this journey wasn't a smooth ride, but it was worth it. There was so much pain between the two, but it is great how they changed each other. I like how in the end, Jerome was barely able to recognize her. It was sad, but still. She moved on. Dustin moved on. But these experiences in life made them to who they are. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger". I love how much she loves candy . . . and how she constantly changes her hair. I especially love the green hair in the beginning, since it is my favorite color. But I am glad in the end, I think she relies on herself and Dustin to move on rather than changing her hair. Awwww I haven't cried for a story in a while. :D I love this story! Definitely one of my favorites now. And whew, who knew the world of tall people could be so dramatic! I'm only 5'3" so the ways of the tall'ems are a mystery to me. All I know is that they seem to like blocking my view at concerts. Now I know that they go through the joys and pains of life as well. :)

Ah. I haven't finished a fictionpress story in quite some time so I'm happy to announce that your story was it! I should have known it would be good though, just judging by the writing in your summary. I really did enjoy this story. I read it pretty slowly, in parts, putting it down and picking it back up when life got busy and slow, so I don't remember the details for all of it, but I can say I really like your writing, your writing style, and your story overall. I like that she recognized she had to fix herself before she could be in a relationship again. I found the self-realization and rehabilitation part of the story refreshing and real. I liked the imperfections. I felt like Dustin's getting over Nora after she died was a little dropped though, once the two broke up, and I guess since the story wasn't being told from Dustin's point of view, it was a little difficult to understand where he was coming from, since he was so hot and cold all the time. They had sex and then he broke up with her through a NOTE, and then the next day he's delivering candy to her asking for another chance.
Anyway, I really did enjoy this story. Best of luck on your future works!

I really liked this chapter. And it has been a long time but I think I remembered enough to enjoy this chapter.
I am really happy with how she moved on from Jerome. And he was quite a favorite in the beginning of this long epic story but I do love Dustin with Lissa much better.
I might go and read 10RIHDH again.. but we'll see.

Like always you are a mastermind. This story is a butterfly, a jump in a warm summer puddle, and the floating breathlessness of a first kiss. It is that warm feeling you get seeing babies laugh, and the love that makes your toes curl. This story was everything it needed to be and more and I loved every minute of it. I would tell you to keep up the amazing work, but I think you're too smart not to.
