Good story so far. I liked where it was headed. It's too bad that it'll never be finished, but it was a good start.
A few typos: one of note was shacking instead of shaking. A shack is a beat up dilapidated house. Shake is the motion of trembling (like in fear.) So the correct verb conjugation for this is shaking.
Anyway, thanks for sharing.

I really hoped to see joshua and salem at the beginning, but to think he's loyal to the evil father.
I really like how you make your characters interact, and really love this new winter guy!
