Ahoy there!
I liked the subject of this piece. I think it's extremely true, and couldn't agree with you more. Romantic and platonic aren't always that different.
However, I think that this piece somewhat lacked in details. Having more instances of 'crossing the line', would, I believe enliven this story more.

AW! That's so cute! But it's so short! It seems more like an outline to me! I would love to read a longer more detailed story. What does he look like? What does she look like? How old are they? What are their personalities like? How big are their families?

For a short story, you balanced the content well. You gave enough examples to get your story across, but you didn't weigh this down with anything unnecessary.
I wish you would make this longer. I think it would make an interesting story, plus give you a chance to develop their relationship better.
