Eek! Wonderful! And it really strikes a chord with me situationally. Your sentences seem to be intentionally short and choppy, which to me are a parable of their small amount of time left together. And I love how you contrast blunt, adorable asceticism like "Cute little fag," with very poetic lines, like "... Somewhere in the distance thunder trembled like the slow opening of a fugue."
