This is such a beautiful story, I think this is already the 100th time I've read it. I still can't get enough of it, love Preston and Jane, and every little thing about this story! Amazing story and beautifully written, thanks for sharing with us!

It was such a wonderful story, I can't even explain it. I wondered how it was going to end, and to be honest, I didn't really think it would've ended like this, but the ending wasn't perfect, and that was exactly what made it perfect. I fell in love with the story line and the characters (LOL) and I just really wanted it to continue, but now that I'm thinking about it, the way it ended was also a good thing.
This is the first story that I have read from you, and like you have said in your author's note, it isn't like all the other stories on here, and I'm thankful for that. It was also cool how it ends at Christmas time, and its almost Christmas for me.
I hope your other stories are the same way, and even though this may sound stupid, I wish the best to Preston and Jane and little Chris. Yes, even Scoop and Raymond and Jerome. I just want everyone to be happy, as happy as they can me.
I wish you the best, and hope that you continue to write stories like this. I can say that this story is sort of an inspiration for me. Have a nice life, and keep on succeeding. :]

This has been one of the best stories I have read in quite awhile. It's amazing how smoothly the whole thing played out and the characters weren't drawn out or annoying. Wonderful story!

Hey, first of all well done for finishing this, it was good.
It was pretty realistic and your characterisation never faltered.
I kind of felt bad for Jane's father, but you know what they say pride goes before a fall. Honestly, his only daughter ran away because he was so overbearing (there's no doubt that he didn't love her) and he didn't at least try to get into contact with her.
Preston's relationship with his brother was rather endearing, and I like that Preston still unsure about him but still loves him, blood is after all thicker than water.
Oh and lastly, I love Tupac, he's honestly one of the best rappers of all time, he wasn't just a rapper either he was a poet and social activist, and yep a Thug. You know he studied Machiavelli whilst he was in prison, it's the basis of why a lot of people don't believe he's dead, one of Machievelli's theories on power concerns how a prince who wants to achive great things must learn to deceive. (Ok, fully stopping the rant before I bore you to death.)
Anyhoo, good story, short and believable.

I was skeptical at first, but wow, I absolutely love it. Its amazing and realistic. Usually i don't read stuff with bad language, but the language in here fits and makes it a better story. This is awesome, really it is.
