I really like this story. The language you use makes it seem old-fashioned- which I assume is your intention- and the characters are believable. Hope to see more!

I find that, despite it's unique format, I feel just as present and involved in this story as in any traditionally narrated one. I enjoyed reading it so far and look forward to the next addition.

Yay for updates! I love Jade's scolding at the beginning of the chapter and the fact that they are good enough friends for her to do that. I also love her moments of sass with Master Ellios (I'm so glad she doesn't just meekly go along with things-I hope she'll continue to challenge the jerk =D ).
To answer your questions, I definitely relate more to Jade because I'm definitely that type of person. I hate to look foolish and also would probably be the one lecturing my friends on behaving. (I also loathe physics). That said, I think that Audrey is very accessible and I enjoy getting a peak into her brain with her letters.
I think the characters are equally likable if only because they are so clearly fond of each other. I do however really look forward to finding out more about what's happening with Jade.

Well, I certainly relate more to Audrey. Fashion and "girly" stuff has never been my thing. I think I like both equally, though. They each have delightful personalities.
Incidentally, writing this story in the form of letters was a stroke of genius.I LOVE the little side remarks that would have been skipped otherwise.

Fun! I liked the slipping and falling in the viscount's arms. I also really enjoyed the fact that her entire rant at him was in her head. I wonder who his nice friend is...

Bravo! I've only gotten through the first two letters, but I love this. Audrey and Jade are hilarious, and their writing style is unique-and that's hard to pull off. I can't wait to see what happens!

Hi! I was hooked with the summary and I'm staying. One thing though, what are their ages? I'm imagining 17 or 18 year-olds but I'm not sure. The difference of writing between Jade and Audrey represents their personalities. And it's not even because each writer is given one or the other. That would make the writing different but not necessarily would it reflect who the characters are. I'm sort of reviewing for each chapter in this review because I read the three chapters together (and by the end of the third I was hoping there would be a chapter 4, but sadly there wasn't).
Oh ps:
- "Dee, you know that I do not whine – I merely critique ...Insistently."
- “Consider yourself now the foe of... the Viscount of Blyth.” (so dramatic and so so so arrogant. How old is he?)
- "I was convinced for a moment that it would explode out of my body and collide with his face." xD
- "I would rather stick an onion up my nose than do one more curtsy for that snooty Mistress Leona."
- "Those who are not scornful of my common-birth spurn me because of my Xi’An blood (while simultaneously, of course, fighting tooth and nail for the finest of our Xi’An silks)."
- "Although Holly has already taken me to a palace seamstress, my new fittings, I am grieved to say, are hardly haute couture (which is, should anyone wish to know, autumn red silk and lace cuffs in the Valencian style this season)." I can almost imagine Jade saying this.
These are just some of the lines that I thought were too good to not be mentioned. please update sooN!
