The tone to this is so somber and regretful.

If I had to guess what's going on, I would think someone gave in to someone who was pressuring them to do something they didn't want to do.

.. Reading that, it seems really confusing.

But whether I'm wrong or I'm right, I really do like this.

Especially:

"I was already full,

But you kept dishing more on my plate."
