I love the contrast of their conversation. I love that Connor is so sure about his beliefs about punishment for those who do wrong, but Garnet shakes his beliefs in the same day. I also love that he's kind of already taken on a father like roll to Garnet and Gardner. I don't think Gemma notices quite how influential he's become, but I do! Good work, can't wait to see what happens next!

Hey! Sorry I didn't review earlier. Life's been crazy busy.
I have always thought that it's the little things that count and Connor's surprise birthday lunch is a wonderful and thoughtful way to show his caring towards her.
I hope Gemma lets her feelings for him grow, as well.

So good! I love Gemma's rambling in her letter, so realistic! I love how thoughtful and caring Connor is toward Gemma and her family. He knows that Gemma's heart is still conflicted with the memory of Fletcher, but that doesn't stop him from pouring kindness all over her. I'm just waiting to see his reaction when he realizes how they're REALLY living! Great chapter, can't wait for the next!

Another lovely chapter, very sweet. It is obvious how Connor feels, and a gentleman too...:) Am hoping Gemma comes around soon.
And he is very observant, noticing her necklace was gone. I bet he is going to try and get it back for her and if that does not get Gemma to really see how he feels, probably nothing will.

Hiya
another great chapter. I love how there is a little dialogue and the rest is discriptive. I'm trying to learn that because sometimes i find that most of my chapters is just dialogue which makes it a little boring well my stories.

I hope he doesn't come on too strong towards Gemma when he gets back.
His family seem well-to-do with their earrings and outfits. It doesn't seem that they have been hit too hard by the Depression. It was a nice introduction to them.
