No, I disagree with Fantasy. It was short and sweet. The whole hair thing is pretty messed up - in a good way. Everyone knows bloody hair is a bad thing. :P I like it.

I'm a bit confused by this story. Was the woman actually crushed by the escalator or was this just how it appeared to her as a child as she saw the woman disappear from sight? I'm guessing it's the latter.
