I don't care if I spent a good half of my afternoon reading this story, because it was so worth it. Words can hardly describe how much love I feel for Grace and Jonah.
The best thing about these characters is that you never tried to villify any of them (with the exception of Carlin, that buttface). Sarah's impulsive action after Carlin's meeting was definitely a YOU'RE STUPID YOU WHORE moment, but at the same time, her brash action doesn't override her love for Grace. Her personality strikes close to home; I'm also a proud person, and it's incredibly hard for me to apologize.
Simon is another character I think I should mention. He was never my favorite, just because he was a pushy person. But IDK he should be blamed for his and Grace's deteriorated relationship. As you said before, it was more of a one-way street, and ultimately, the lack of physical intimacy won in the end. He's not flawless, but at the same time, his flaws don't overshadow his good qualities. As in, he was the first person who was Grace's boyfriend, and he tried his best to please her. It's such a shame that his inferior complex was annoying.
Screw Carlin. That's all I can say about him. He's the ONLY character I heartily approved of becoming the villain. I draw the line at someone trying to turn everyone against an innocent person, and I refuse to see him as anything besides an annoying pest. Plus, he wasn't really a big part of the story. It's not a bad thing, per se, and while he was Grace's unrequited love for a better part of the story, he didn't have enough interactions with her for me to invest any good emotion toward him.
Grace was a wonderful character to read about. I loved her normalcy? Hahah IDK how to explain it, but I can relate to her so much. She's mostly introverted, yet she has a close group of friends. She hasn't had much experience in a relationship, and she's fiercely devoted to her sister and friends. I liked reading her POV, I liked her personality, and I liked her characterization overall.
My favorite character was, duh, Jonah. He sounded like a beautiful man, and I loved his chivalry. It broke my heart to read that he stood by the shadows for THREE YEARS. My eyeballs nearly fell out of their sockets when I read that, and I was like, "My goodness, why didn't he get on the gravy train three years ago?" But I totally understand why he didn't make any move, and it made the situation even more heartbreaking. He's a sharp fellow, and I have a thing for those kinds of boys.
I love love loved the interaction between Jonah and Grace. Even their names have a nice fit to it. She's so dumb to his feelings, and he puts up with it in stride. The chapter where Grace comes to his apartment gave me chills because it was so emotionally packed. Jonah's speech, about how her being happy was good enough for him, almost threw me off my chair. WHAT THE HECK that guy is so unreal! But it was a good kind of unreal, though! I couldn't get enough of it every time they were in a scene together. Simon I could do without, but I knew he had to be a foundation for their relationship.
You have no idea how ridiculous how smoothly this story went down for me. Normally, I'd have a go at one or two things about a story, but I can't do it. Maybe the sentence structures were a little too short in some places? Hahaha that's honestly the best I can come up with right now, besides a couple of misplaced punctuation marks, and they're not even huge ones. The setting, the pacing, the characters themselves... everything came together, and the only thing I can say is I NEED TO REREAD THIS AGAIN. I don't even want a sequel to this story because the ending was perfect. I just have this satisfied feeling in my stomach, the kind you get when you read something fantastic.
FANTASTIC job with this story.

Okay, I seriously don't know whether its just hormones, but this chapter made me bawl my eyes out. And that is a huge accomplishment for an emotional blockhead like me. Well done!
The only thing I'm the least bit concerned about is his sudden confession, but hell, if I were a guy I might do that too if the woman I loved was in such a state. Jonah is a gentleman, after all. Heehee. And poor Gracie. ;-;
Keep up the good work! I'm actually finished with this story, and I do like it. A little rough in some parts, but very enjoyable.
P.S/ Love the facebook references, lol.

I absolutely loved this story. And I'm very glad she ended up with Jonah. Simon gave me the creeps...

The ending was so amazingly cute, and so very perfect. I enjoyed reading this immensely and I'm so glad it was Jonah. I had a bad feeling about Carlin- but what a twist! Great writing. (:

Finally got around to reading this and I have to say, it's bloody phenomenal!
Keep writing Aurette, because this story saved me from my FP slump and giving up on FP entirely!
(There is a lot of crap out there)

Came by undiscovered, and I love this. Absolutely. Actually, a couple chapters in, I had to find out how it ended because Simon was the cliche ending (which I like, you know, fight with, etc., blahblah) but I was rooting so hard for Jonah that I had to find out how she ended up with.

Woww, great twists, the last couple chapters were such shockers. I really, really was wondering how it'd turn out. But seriously, Simon is a little too assh*leish... *sigh*
I guess it's realistic...some people really just can't apologize, but I want to SMACK an apology out of that guy.

Wow! This story was fantastic! :) I liked the ending and how you made us know they were married. It was perfecto!
I went to Ireland this past April. It was beautiful and you sort of described it like it really is. (Except no one has porches over there)The men really do walk around with boots on and such. It's so great! I loved it and I miss it so much.
I caught the one part of the story where it says-Sarah was especially anxious to hit the Irish pubs and snag her a man with an accent and a guitar.-That is just like P.S. I Love You! :)
Really, your a great writer and I can not wait to read more...
