Benny and Joon quote! I love that movie. It sits on the same shelf as my Jane Austen series, Longfellow's book of poetry, and Shakespeare's plays. :)
But yes, indeed, it took me a bit to really get into the story. However, now, I love it! It's so cute! I love the minor characters even (read: Cassie).
Although, I have to admit weighing Simon and Jonah against each other... I'm leaning towards Jonah. He's adorable and Irish. Plus, he doesn't act baby-ish like Simon [who kinda starting to annoy me].
Anyways, this was my fan squeal, and sorry, no constructive criticism. I was into the story, and thus, I didn't really spot any errors. I guess that's kinda a good thing in a way though. lol.
Great job. Post again soon.

I love this story. I work with Hera at Undiscovered and i'm so glad this is our first one. I like the characters, and the plot so far. I especially like Simon. Mainly because I love writing about musicians too so i get it. And well i like the name. Anyway this is great keep writing.

Benny and Joon! :D I was about to look that up, lol. I knew I recognized it and that it was, in fact, from one of my favorite movies; just didn't know which one. So... I have to say... I love Jonah about twenty times more than I like Simon (though I love his name and the fact that he has different-colored eyes), from the very first time we saw Jonah actually. He's so adorable, and I love how how he knows her so well (especially made clear by this chapter). And quite frankly, I think his jealousy is cute, and I'm slightly annoyed by Simon's. *Shifty eyes* Haha, sorry. I hope she takes Jonah on the trip to Ireland, in fact. If nothing else, she could use the excuse that she wants him to see his family's homeland :D Ah, Jonah, par excellence. *Thumbs up* Seriously, I can't wait to read more with him in it. Moving on from how awesome Jonah is though, the story in general is pretty rad! I can't wait to see how more of this unfolds ;) See you next update!
God bless,
Chelsea

I can't believe it - the story got even BETTER. And I thought it had reached its peak of awesomeness.
I have to agree with the majority of reviewers here - I love Jonah. My heart flutters at every mention of his name. Flutters! There are so many layers to his character that just make him so likeable. Not that Simon isn't likeable, but he doesn't have that chemistry with Grace like Jonah does.
I haven't been this excited about a story in a while! My hunch is that Jonah comes along on their Ireland trip since they can't take boyfriends. Or maybe that's my wishful thinking.
Still, I feel for Simon. If I'd been in his position, I'd definitely feel like crap. But his personality keeps changing. One minute I like him, because he's genuine and understanding. And then he gets all jealous of Jonah and says snappy, unnecessary things. So, I'm not so sure what to think of him. But Jonah is still my favorite. There's just something about him.
I would love to feature this story on Undiscovered. It totally deserves it. I'll contact you with more info~! :)

Something about this story makes me happy. I don't know what it is. I just really enjoy reading it.
I spotted a few typos, but nothing major. It's all so well-written that I didn't focus on that. I'm a bit of a Grammar Nazi. Just a bit.
This chapter made me laugh several times. The dialogue between Gracie and Simon was hilarious! Your characters have such vivid personalities. I imagine they must be as fun for you to write as they are for us to read :)
Oh - while I'm here - I got your comments on my LiveJournal. Thanks for your advice. I do read agent's blogs, because I'm so neurotic about getting everything *just* how they like it. I just received my fourth rejection (ouch) but I know this business is rough. I won't give up! (Even though I'm kind of tempted to...)
And, yeah, it's the same Hera! I've got another account on FP, but I use this one for Undiscovered.
Okay, I'm gonna continue reading now :)

I like the fact that the kiss happened when it did...
I noticed a few grammatical errors and there aren't any question marks after your questions...

very interesting...I'm not sure who I like more; Simon or Jonah...
Poor Gracie...it really takes a long time to get over someone (at least for me) when you throw alcohol and facebook into the mix...

I don't particularly like Simon, he seems immature and I don't think he's right for her. Jonah would be a better fit with Grace. That being said I enjoyed reading what you've posted thus far and cannot wait to read more.

Well I happen to think that your writing ROCKS! I do have to say,Jonah is the obvious choice for Gracie, but its the journey that is fun. I love your writing and your story. Please update soon!

This is some of the best writing I've come across on FictionPress. It didn't feel like I was reading another FP story. It actually felt like I was reading an e-book from a published author. This is very professional work!
You did a great job describing Gracie's pain. And I love how honest she is with herself - admitting that she's being a bitch and everything. The dialogue with the bartender was quite funny.
I shall keep reading!
(by the way, this is the official account for Undiscovered!)

I think this story is amazing - I keep reading and checking for updates and then forgetting to review, for which I apologise.
I love the reality of this story. Even the components that have the potential to be cliche (Gracie in love with her best friends, that her family is rich) seem fresh. Grace is always likeable, even though she's a little rough around the edges, and we empathise with her even when she's being a bitch.
The best aspect of the story is how the romance is introduced. I like that Gracie isn't head of heels with Simon just because he's interested - and even now, she's still seeing him as somewhat of an experiment. I do hope that she ends up with Jonah (sorry Simon!) if only because there's a delicious slow burn in their inreractions. The mystery is desirable; he doesn't put all of his cards on the table straight out like Simon.
The only criticism I have is that sometimes the writing can be slightly repetitive (especially in this paragraph where Grace explains why she doesn't bring Simon back to the office.) It feels like your explaining the same thing in five different ways.
Update soon!
