Lovely, and so true. The city really is overrated. I live there myself, but I'm always thinking something simpler might have been nice... I like the last stanza in particular, and the lines "And she can't help but mourn the way things were/ and all the things that might have been". Perfect. ;D

I adore your take on this concept. The 'grass is always greener' phrase comes to mind, and it's always true. I love the city, but I do tire of the lack of community you feel in a small town. This is really well written, and the simplicity of it is gorgeous.
