The perfect mix of wistful thinking and resignation that made me think.
"There’s some strange joy in sidewalk blocks
In endless nightlight lines"
Here, especially, you capture the feel. There IS a strange joy in it. And yet something within us wants something...more.
Overall, flowed flawlessly, rhyming was effortless, and I haven't really FELT a poem on this website as much as I felt that one.
