Quick tip: Never, EVER put an A/N in the middle of a story! Anyway, if you think it's that cliche don't point it out. Possibly even take the time to think of a new one.
I thought this chapter was the perfect length for a first chapter. I also like all of the characters so far. :) Good job. (And yay for subtle gloats. :P)
