That...is a funeral in a handbasket. I'm glad you didn't sugar-coat it or glorify it in any way; funerals aren't made to be peachy-keen, jellybean. 'Cept when you profit from them. Some bloke bought nearly all of the funeral industry, and he's making an absoloute killing, since people die every day. *cough* Anyhoo. This was, again, a brilliant Chapter. I think it was heightened by listening to freaky-clown-does-the-tango-song, 'El Tango De Roxanne'. Something about strings. Anyhoo...I'm rambling. ^^; The 'conversation' between Anthony and his father was realistically done, too...Everything's so realistic! Especially Anthony being stereotypically UNguy-esque. Or something like that. *thumbs up* Hoopy.

This chapter was utterly amazing, Sav. When I read your writing, it feels like I'm reading something by some incredibly cultured person who's been around for ages. You just know the right words to say, and just when to say them. This chapter was so real, I almost wanted to believe it wasn't. You captured the funeral scene perfectly, and the interaction between Anthony and his father was brilliant. You are truly talented, Sav. Don't ever let anyone convince you otherwise. But, I know you won't. ::wink::

:::blinks::: God. That was just. . .I can't even really come up with words. The way you handled "the scene", that was just incredible. It was like a mixture of a newspaper article and a sort of off-handish, run-of-the-mill story that was kind of...I don't know. But it was right. And of course, the scenes between Ben & Anthony were excellent. Each chapter seems to get better than the last. I can't believe someone so young could write something so elequent and meaningful and great. This is phenomenal work, Sav. You should be proud of yourself; I know I am. :)

Aww...I love the Crucifiction. It's so moving. Much more heart-wrenching than the Jesus version ever was. Did it occur to you that warning your readers about the blasphemous nature of these chapters is a bit pointless, considering that the whole idea of homosexuality is condemned by Christianity? If they were going to be offended, chances are they would have been by chapter three. Anyway. Man, I relate to a lot of this. Anthony breaking out of his little Catholic shell...reminds me of leaving my little happy heterosexual, Utah-raised, Mormon girl world. Except I didn't go off and get drunk and wander around without underwear and stuff. (Who would want to get drunk off beer, anyway? Beer is GROSS. I'll never understand people.) *sigh* Poor Anthee. At least Ben came and took him away. On the bright side, Jake could've done much worse to him. And the fact that these kids are my age and some of them are rapists already is disturbing.

Grr...they need to kiss and make up. And then then need to get back in the pool and make up some more, damn it. =) Anthony is so melodramatic; I love him.

*grin* Ah, dramatic irony. Jake's an ass, but that's okay; he acidentally helped the main characters hook up. I can forgive him for being weird and scary. =) I liked the whole inconspicuous flirting part. I've done that on sleep-overs. *blush* It's weird how it's socially acceptable for two girls to flirt and hug and hold hands and kiss...not that I've done either of the last two. I'm shy. ^^; And I think everybody knows I'm bi by now, so she'd know I had a crush on her if I did. ^^;;; Anyway, I'm really liking this story. (Heh, I finally decided to read it instead of being bored waiting around for the next part of "Without Armor." -.^ Not to mention avoiding part 10 of "Thinking of You." Dilandau doesn't seem to want to be written about just now. *sigh* Damned muses.) One more thing: Gabe is just precious. I'm reminded so much of my four younger siblings. =P

HOLY SHIT! Savannah! Where the HELL do you get all of this talent? This chapter was utterly amazing. I could literally feel the emotions rushing through everyone's minds. Anthony's fear, Ben's protective nature and his despair, the Jocks' uneasiness and hesitancy, and Jake's pure, cold menevolance. God, this chapter had so much! And the very end, that was one of the best parts. Ben sacrificed everything to Jake and the others so that he could save Anthony. :::bubbly sigh::: Man, what's gonna happen next! This is one of the best novels I've ever read in my life. Seriously. Man...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I say that a lot in my reviews for this book. LOL. But I can't help it! What are those jerks gonna do to Anthony NOW? Man, they are so cruel. Why can't they just leave him alone and let him be happy? Sheesh. Anyway, your words and descriptions and metaphors and everything are flawless, completely original, and wondrous as ever. Big surprise, huh? Right. LOL. This is so well-written, I can't even believe you're only 15. You've got so much talent!
