Wow, that was powerful. I love the artist's obsession with unicorns, lol yet he's not insane or anything. It's a beautiful conception. XD =D LOVE IT! *hugs you and gives you lots of flowers* You've captured the beauty of fantasy right in this story in such a unique way, I can't even put into words. oO All I can do is say: Good job! I enjoy the way this story is done. It's less fanciful(if that's the correct word) than other stories. The narrator seems like a normal person with a normal life and that's what helps this story seem sp believable. But I like how you made it seem like Danielle was a unicorn, intentionally or not. Good job!

Not bad, kinda cute.
BTW, it's a little know fact that physical unicorns are highly agressive and tends to kill everyone who gets near them. This is good to keep in mind if you're ever out looking for one of them. ^_~

I enjoyed reading this a lot. Possibly this is beacause I've been writing my own unicorn story for almost a year now (and I can never get it right; it keeps slipping through my fingers) I liked the things you left unsaid here; I'm a big fan of things which are not said being louder than things which are.
If I could offer any constructive criticism at all it would be that the ending is a little abrupt and could do with a bit of tempering. (endings are hard. unless I start out with exactly what I want the end to be like mapped out in my head it always goes Pete Tong)
Other than that I found your language fluid and elegant. Very pretty.

That's so NICE! It's so cool how you have a guy who's obsessed with unicorns (I only just realized how weird that is...) and yet he seems pretty normal. Since this is a short story, it's cool how you talk about Danielle and how he's had kinda a rough time of it but you don't make people TOOO curious (the unicorn is the important part).
Seriously, (um, I use that word a LOT. thought you should know.) you are the only writer on fanfiction that I know of, (yes, out of the twenty-five or so that I know of,) you are the only one who I reaaaaaaaaaally really really like. Really. I mean... really. I'm going to shut up now.

Wow! That was great! So well-written and well-thought out! Amazing story you have here; it has a lesson in it-but the story isn't built around the lesson; rather, the lesson is built around the story. That's a good thing! ^_^ And you never outright say he saw a unicorn! Did he! Aw gee, I guess I'm meant to wonder...maybe he was hallucinating or something? @_@ Drives me crazy! Anyway...lol okay okay I guess I'm done now, but this is fabulous-imagery, lesson, excellent characterization, it's got everything. Wonderful work, keep at it! ~MJ

That was so beautiful! it reminds me of a short story by Bruce Coville in a book called Oddly Enough, the story is The Box or something like that. Anyway, part of the story is that a man named michael saw an angel when he was young, and when he grew older he tried to paint the face of the angel. But the angel was so beautiful he felt his paintings were horrible in comparison, even though everyone else thought they were beautiful. Your character's desperation to draw something so beautiful reminds me of that.
