for I Wonder If God Gets Lonely

Wow. This is incredible. Truly.

One of my favorite things you have ever written.

It's so up front, honest and sincere.

And it asks such an uncommon question, and it gives God a whole other identity; it makes him seem more like a person.

And it makes me wonder, too!

Does he ever feel overwhelmed?

What DOES he think about the Beatles, haha!

I also like the end:

Love,

Your Image

... Great, excellent, wonderful, fantastic job :D

Interesting Idea. I've thought something similar before too.

It's an interesting thought writing a letter to God, but there are some things I want to give you. :)

God created mankind to have a relationship with Him. We were made to reflect HIs image and glory as you mentioned at the end, but sin messed all of this up. Sin is evil, lawlessness in basic terms. (1 John 3:4) It is disobedience to our holy Father. It is not that God cannot handle sin, He did in Jesus Christ, but sin cannot handle God. It cannot survive in His presence. The Bible makes it very clear that we are all sinful, even from birth, having inherited the sins of Adam. (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:10-18,23...)When mankind fell into sin, God's heart broke I'm sure. We can see the pain and suffering our sin caused God through the sacrafice of Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. Not only did He suffer physical death though, but the second death, which is Hell. (Galation 1:4, 1 Peter 2:24, Hebrews 9:22- Christ's Sacrafice) And He rose and conquered death at His resurrection. (John 15)

The reason God sent Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to die for our sins is so we could have a relationship with Him. God is not lonely. He has a very large family who loves Him, and who He cares for. (Galations 4:6-7) He has many many interests which are listed in the Bible, the Living Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16) The answer to every question you may have about life or death or anything in between can be found in the Word of God. One of the most important things we must know/ understand about God is His sovereignty. He is in control. He's not here to answer man's questions, which He has to great extint, but we are here to glorify and live/ follow him. Nothing is hard or difficult for God for there is nothing that can challange His power. Not even Satan, the evil of all evil, has anything compared to what God can do. "THere is no power, no wisdom, no insight that can succeed against the Lord." Proverbs 21:30 "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted." Job 42:2 (Also Jeremiah 10:6, 12-13, 23-24) Last, don't be afraid to talk to God. Seek Him with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6, Deut. 4:29, Jeremiah 29:13, Lamen. 3:25) and pray without ceasing (1 THess. 5:17) and submit yourself to God in repentence (James 4:7-10). Acts 2:38 and John3:3-7 talk about repentence, baptism, but know that the baptism of the Spirit is what seals you into the kingdom of heaven (Ephesians 1:13) and baptism of water is JUST a confession of your faith, as God has called us to do. When one recieves the Holy Spirit of God we become a new creation and we get a new heart (2 Corin. 5:17, Ezekiel 36:26), this means God's Spirit is sanctifying us and convicting us of our sin. We put off our old way of living and begin to deny ourselves and follow Christ's example (Matthew 10:38).

A real Christian does not live for themself or for this world, but for God, in Christ, to further His Everlasting Kingdom.

By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

God Bless.
