I liked the part where you revealed that she knew the guy who was teasing her. It was well-played and I can imagine the scene easily. It made me want to read more to find out why it's such a shock for her to see Matt.
I thought the ending of the chapter was a little abrupt. It kind of left me with no clue as to where this was going, since there was no explanation as to their relationship or why she was so surprised. However, you mentioned at the end that you wrote it really quick, so I can understand why it was like that.
