I like this so far. Very interesting. I especially like the fact that it is based on a "true" story, and that there is not line between fiction and non-fiction. It really gives you something to think about!

Excellent work! Loved the epilogue! It was a great way to end the story! I will be surely be reading more of your work in the future!

A very heartbreaking ending, but the story is so fascinating, that I'd like to visit St Donats myself one day. And I suppose you're implying, in the epilogue, that Lord Stradling killed Erasmus? That would not be very surprising... in any case, what a read! Great work, and I encourage you to keep on writing - you're a talented story-teller, and hopefully you'll publish someday.

Well then. That was a very.. intense encounter between Anne and Erasmus. It's a good thing, though, that you didn't make it too graphic. Some authors tend to go too much into detail and it ends up being downright unbearable. Great work though, I can't wait to read the rest!

Another great chapter - but isn't, "roared gently," a bit contradictory? There is flow in your writing, though I have noticed some grammatical errors - which, I must add, don't disrupt your pace, but it would do well to be more attentive to them. In any case, I enjoyed it very much, and expect more reviews from me!

This story savours strongly of Ann Radcliffe's 'Mysteries of Udolpho.' I only mean to say that the setting is very like the one in that particular book. It's eerie, enchanting, and yet very real. Good job with the story, and the language and style are similarly strong and original. I like Anne, but perhaps you should write more on her character... At all events, keep up the good work!

This was a fascinating story! I really liked how you put the epilogue in there; it made the whole thing so mysterious! Thanks for writing it. :)

He never came?

Oh, how beautiful that was. And I love how it was based on history, and the epilogue was everything it should have been. Well done to you for creating such a wonderful story. I loved every word.

*Gasps*

Something romantically tragic is going to happen, I can feel it in my bones.

But fingers crossed it won't. Chapter Fourteen calls and I'm really really excited!

*Breathes deeply*

O.K. Moving on.

I can't decide if I'm shocked or very very happy...

You just have everything so in balance and RIGHT. I love this story. If its not in my favourites, its being put there now!

On to Chapter 13...

Oh. Things got a little steamy there.

And I loved every minute of it, haha.

I think the next chapter is a'calling...

I love your writing style. It's poetic but not too in your face and sickly. It's perfect.

And yay! Erasmus is back. I missed him, even if he was gone less than a chapter.

Wow! Thank you for finishing. You combined the many tales very seamlessly into one great story. It seems to me that Sir Edward killed Erasmus. I tried to look in the web for the local folklore but like your version better. Please send me photos, I will give my email address in a message. Thank you again and please write more.
