Congratulations! I think that was one of the first stories I've read on fictionpress that made me really feel sad. Needless to say, that means it's pretty good if it can evoke that kind of emotion.
The only thing I can say is that I think you should put a firmer transition between when he is thinking about how he got to be the way he is, and when the kids are tormenting him. It confused me for a second as to what was going on. Other than that, it was just great.
