Another very interesting chapter! :D A few comments:

-When Anne is thinking, you should put it in italics so that the readers can tell right away it's something different.

-The paragraph that starts out: "To what do you refer, my lady?" is really big. What I would do is have a break when you talk about fenceing for self-defence and also when she talks about education. It just makes it flow and easier to read.

-There were a few grammer and punctuation mistakes, but if you just read over this again out loud it will help catch those. But they are really little, so I'm not going to point them out on here.

Well anyway! Great job, really like this story! :)

I like the way that your characters talk, the language they use. It reminds me of the era that they are in, constantly. So I don't forget.
