This has a fantastic rhythm and consistancy to it. I love the images of battle and stuggle, and how the whole 'maybe he'll stay' thing is a mantra, a motivator- very good piece. =]

I love how all of the rhyming here seems totally flawless and easily conceived. Not at all like it was a pain to construct (which it may have been for you, and, be that the case, this is all the more wonderful because it sounds to natural)!
Also, it's a very... touching? piece. I don't really know what to say. I mean, it provoked some interesting thoughts, but it wasn't really 'emotionally stirring' or anything. Just... intriguing; that's probably the best word for it.
