This story made me go 'aw', and for me that is quite rare. I love it!

This is absolutely amazing. It shows the journey of the narrator in a truly phenomenal way. You have great talent.

I especially enjoyed watching the narrator grow up, and our insight into the narrator's life through short vignettes fit this story.

May I say, I love this story?

Especially the bits about the wedding dress and Rhoda. The bit about Nathaniel made me sad. I love the wording so much and I wish you would write more, but I understand your reasons, Mika.

this is so insightful and inspiring, i think. i love the short little clips we get of his life as he grows and learns, and finally in the end...lives. wonderful.

I like your take on this topic. Especially how it progresses through the years.

Nathaniel. That made me pretty sad.

ahh, i'm so glad to see that you've updated. and i absolutely love this - it brings to life the fears and troubles of those afraid to be who they want to be. and i'm so glad that this didn't have a tragic ending, with the mother turning away in shock or disgust. i loved this a lot.

This is really cute, I know a friend who feels like that.

I enjoyed this SO much. I did find one type-o, the second "not" says "note" instead, and that doesn't make sense so I'm going to guess you meant "not". I enjoyed the I am 14, I am 16, I am 2...and so on. Maybe continue that for the last bit. "I am grown" or "I am 18" (or "I am 22" if it's college).

The last bit almost brought me to tears, honestly.
