I gotta say, that is some great writing... if not boring as all hell for some people. It is drenched in drama. That's not a bad thing, though it grows pretentious after a while. Again your writing kicks ass. A little silly though, having Gunter want revenge for his fallen comrades. In actuality, he is swearing revenge against War itself. Like a kid that gets angry at a video game. And I don't think a war would be decided with the loss of a tank and the white flag. The enemy would just fall back to a trench miles behind them and regroup and mount another attack.

Overall, great colorful writing, a lot of figurative writing, and it was very intense, again if not boring as all hell for some people.

Very nice. Good description. I normally shy away from stories dealing with war because it's a little heavy on my heart, but I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. Keep it up.

I have read many stories and poems about how brutal wars are, and yours sent shivers down my spine.

Oh God how gripping a story this was.

I was so engulfed with your description and detail, I gasped when he ran with his grenade. I even prayed he would not die and was elated to know that he survived to see the end of battle, but certainly not the end of the war.

Very well written with a lot of emotion, I say bravo to you for delivering such a piece.

Thank you for sharing and if you are at all in the war zones, I pray your safety and wish that things work out for you in your homeland. This world is involved with so much hate it is awful and even those of us not in the trenches feel a bit of remorse for those who are and are proud of the sacrifices they make for us and our freedom.

Very detailed I could imagine everything. Other than that it is pretty good and I saw nothing wrong with it.
