Yes. Some people do deserve to be slapped. Who's your them? My them are my old classmates. I didn't pretend though. While I didn't needlessly give them crap, I didn't take it either. Didn't scream "f-u," though. Good luck.
Also, know that karma is one awesome bitch. She'll totally help you out in the end. And she'll let you watch when she bitch slaps whoever deserves it in the end. Stupid people are not Karma's favorites. Even if it might seem like they got the world.
