it's interesting to see the way our minds worked when we were kids. I love going back and reading my old diaries, old stories that I wrote.

This is one of the most awesomely poignant things I’ve seen on this site. The bit about birds, in particular, strikes me pretty hard. I’d almost like to use it as a jumping off point for story of my own, with permission of course.
I can’t exactly review this the way I would almost anything else here. It’s not looking for criticism. Instead, the best I can do is say that I’m glad you posted it.
