Wow. This piece is brilliant-first of all, the beginning, where Mick is journaling, is incredibly well-written, with a perfect word choice. And the statement about cliches is so true. I related to her entry perfectly. Your writing is clear and simple, almost musical, and as far as the story goes I adore how this is just a snapshot in Mick's life.

Mick. What amazing characterization! Her knees are scabby and there's a band-aid on her face. Her bag is frayed and she only owns one pair of shorts. I have the perfect picture of her in my head, and from you showing and not telling I can piece together the clues to see what type of girl she is. She seems incredibly unique, a character I would love to read about.

LuLu,

I love this. I love it I love it I love it.

This is precisely how I've been writing lately. Freely, without hesitating too much or searching mindlessly for the proper word. It flows. And I love that.

(I swear, I could use the word "love" a million times in this review - and I might have to - and it wouldn't be enough.)

It wasn't a terribly eventful chapter, but I like that. It was worth reading. Your style is improving each time you put pen to paper, and I mean that.

Keep up the good work!

Lovelovelove,

Well, you know who.

Honestly, this is so great. I love the style, I love the last sentence, the swallowing, I love the door creaked something awful. I love how the words are written, and you know how there are so many different ways to express a written idea, but they are all so different... I think you have found the right way for Mick :)

I love the character as well, the sort of girl so unconventional she's conventional, so different she's relatable. If you know what I mean.

My favorite paragraph is the one describing what different people in her family and such would describe the same day. It's very stylish and personality-rich.

Keep writing! Because you know I will keep reading.

Love,

H

Fabulous. I enjoyed reading it very much. Your writing is... excellent, for lack of a better word! I mean throughout the whole thing we really know nothing about her, and nothing particularly fantastic happens and usually I'd think that was boring, but I loved it.

'And people connect with cliches because someday it may happen it them' - yes! That's totally it.

Fanfiction reviewers are terrifying. Great work XD
