I like this story so far, not many people can write in this POV well and you really pulled it off. The characters are already well developed, which is amazing considering this is the first chapter that they were introduced.
And you're right, we Texans love high school football, however, the whole southern gentleman thing, they don't exist. Seriously, I've lived down south my whole life and never seen a guy so much as hold the door for a girl...it's a nice idea though.

I seriously love that your reworking Beauty and the Beast. It's my fave fairytale and disney movie by far. And like you mention in your A/N, CInderella is overdone, as are a few of them, but no one really ventures anywhere near B&B. Kudos to you. Theres that Beastly movie coming out this year thou, the modern adaptation of it, but as it is, and since it doesn't come out in Aus till mid Sept, I'm not inlcuding it. Especially since I haven't made up my mind if its any good.
I like the change in narration in this story, the whole third person observer. Its a nice change. Sometimes tricty to pull off, but having read some of your other stuff, I think you've got it covered. That said, once again I love your narration and tone in this chapter. Brilliant prologue to the whole thing.

I really liked the prologue to this story. It was interesting and funny. The summary didn't really do much for me, but I'm really glad I decided to read the first two chapters because I'm thinking this is going to be good :)
