Chase seems completely oblivious to the fact that he hurt Miranda by leaving without a goodby or an explanation. Is he clueless, insentive, or was there some circumstance that he can't speak about?

I wonder what made Chase run off like that. There must be a back-story about this?

Enter perfect man? It is interesting how some people find the perfect person for them early, while others have to wait for years. As a teenager I knew a twenty-something woman who was beautiful and kind and someone who I thought of as ideal. Sadly, I was only sixteen. She was so lonely and could not understand what was wrong with her. Eventually she married someone who seemed like a good man, but who turned abusive. Thankfully she had the good sense to get away from him. Yet it never made sense to me how such a great lady couldn't find a good man.
Sorry for the completely unsought information. This chapter just triggered that memory.

That had to be a cruel blow. I am curious about the reasons that the men overlook her. What is it about her that either a) prevents their interest, b) discourages their interest, or c) turns them off (bad habits, body odor?).

Just had to alert you to the fact that in previous chapters, her full name had been Miranda Jo Carmichael. In this, you just changed it to Miranda Louise Carmichael. ;)

Hey I've really enjoyed this story so far and I just want to point out this discrepancy that I spotted, not that it really affects how much I love this story. You mentioned Miranda saying that she could get to the plot of land Chase showed her in 20 minutes if she was on Tucker in Chapter 9 but here in Chapter 22 you say that Miranda just got her own horse and just decided to name him Tucker. So yeah.

Great ending! Miranda completely deserved an ending full of happiness and sappiness after everything she had been through. You kept saying in your Author Notes that you thought it was moving slowly. I didn't think so at all. Nearly every chapter had a Miranda and Chase moment and each chapter did something to move the story along, whether it was emphasizing the love between Miranda and Chase or showing what a jerk Robert was.
Awesome job! Can't wait to read the next one!

Hi, I've been meaning to catch up on my reading with this story for a long time, and today I finally am. I had no trouble picking up where I left off and I'm still as interested as before! I may have said this in earlier reviews, but - great writing! And way to go with the dialog! So many writers insert modern dialog into their historical stories. You've done a great job of making it sound realistic for the time period.
Keep it up!

OMG I see myself in Miranda. I have excactly the same problem as hers, in matter of getting a man in my life. I soo hope to find solution in this story how to make myself feel better. kind of desperate here T_T

Awesome awesome. I just wish that there were a few more chapters. Robert definitely deserved a beating, and I wish I could have read about Miranda and Chase making a family. But..I u derstand that all great things come to an end. Great story!

I read the whole story one-shot sometimes back, and can say it's one of my favourite story of yours. The plot reminds me a bit of myself and the hope of 'worth waiting for'!
Chase, it goes without saying, is oh so , but I'd really have liked if Robert had been more of a flesh-and-blood person. Would have loved if there was more Chase-Miranda moments and it would have been an interesting sub-plot if Robert had become suspicious about Chase LOL!
Anyways, loved your story!

AW! That was so sweet of Chase. This story was really good. If you'd published it I would read it in a heartbeat. Wonderful!
