okay, okay... I wasn't expecting to be a fan of anything written in this 'tell' rather than 'show' storytelling style, but this is almost unbelievably cute.
I'm not sure how you did it, but stylistically, I didn't even feel it growing on me until I read the last line and realized that I immensely enjoyed reading this.
