I am totally depressed and yet uplifted by this story. Football players, man. They can't do wrong.
However, as long as it's a one-shot... I sure hope they don't hang around forever, mooning and pining and not appreciating life. So many years spent not loving each other... sigh. It probably wouldn't have worked out anyway.
Might I compare the Haphazard Ruse? Which by the way is now complete.
The opening is a little too football-heavy - it's bogged down by names, places and paraphernalia. Cool it! Too many team names, too many particular stadiums and halls and doorways. It feels like a history lesson. It's too observant.
