for A Letter From a Soldier

What an incredible piece of history! It's wonderful that it has stayed in your family for so long. Many people in the present time do not appreciate the importance of preserving our past. I love history and my home is full of grapeshot, minie balls, cannon shell and yes... even a piece of cannon(along with many other antiques). I lost 4 Richmond newspapers(authentic) from 1862-63 in hurricane Katrina(as well as many other Civil War artifacts). I cried for days... no months. You can't replace those kind of things and so it goes for your letter from your many great-grandfather. Don't ever let go of that precious piece of history. God Bless...

Wow! This is the kind of stuff that should go into the textbooks! I love this kind of thing. Very realistic (well I guess it really happened, so of course its real XD) and I liked having a peek into that time of his life. Very interesting. Tell your great-great-grandfather that I respect him too much to be expressed.
