This story is so bittersweet and beautiful that oaiwefjoijf. Words cannot describe it. It's so real because Nick and Tasha seem so real, and even the readers want so desperately for it to happen, but it doesn't. That feeling of wanting to like someone who seems so perfect for you, but not being able to love them in that way is so perfectly relateable.

As much as this is a really good short story, i was hoping for more of Zach and Summer.. Their life in College.. But you're right, sometimes the characters DO take control hehe :L

This is way too 'story of my life' at the moment for me to even comprehend (minus the wealth and the mcdonalds because, hello, vegetarianism). I realised too late too and will probably always regret it so am currently feeling super empathetic towards Tasha.
I like to think they have a happy ending cause the alternative is just too awful.

That was the saddest end to a story I've read for a long time! Actually...that was so heart-breaking! D:
They both tried so much and they both hurt to much that it was unbelievable. I really wanted them to end up together, and when they didn't...it just struck of reality in the saddest way possible :(
I don't even know what I'm saying now, I just feel this insane need to blab on and on about this :(
The worst thing is that they had such AMAZING chemistry together, right? I mean, they just WORKED as best friends; they were always there for each other and I guess I'm sad not only because I know that they didn't end up together but also because it means that their relationship will never be the same again :( I don't know what to say, but it was just so incredibly sad! Maybe it's not possible for a boy and girl to remain best friends without it getting complicated? :(
I wish I could come up with better constructive criticism, but I really can't at the moment :( I came here expecting it to be completely like The Champagne Gang and I guess in a sense it is because of all the raw emotions you pour into it, but the characters are just words away in terms of differences in personality. And that's really refreshing!
I don't know what else to say and I should really be going to sleep because I'm starting my first day of work in about 5 hours and I need to get more sleep.
But thank you for the wonderful story! Really :D

So I've never read The Champagne Gang, but I just read this...and was kind of lost for some of it...but I just wanted to say that this was really good. Well-written, heartfelt, sad, and just, well, amazingly real. You are a writer. You made me sad and thankful for this story at the same time. The "I'm becoming the part that don't last" bit was my favorite.
